She studied Business Administration in Bentley College (Boston), and worked for Arthur Andersen (in their offices in Houston, London and Barcelona). In 1998 she founded the production company Infinity Films in Bilbao where she made her first short films Silencia, Negra Rosa and Media Luna. In 1999 she made her first feature film, Jaizkibel, which won awards at the festivals In Cairo and Cartagena, among others. In 2001, along with Ángel Durández, she created Arcadia Motion Pictures, focusing her efforts, after directing Los Totenwackers in 2007 (premiered at Sitges), on her work as a producer. Alegría, tristeza had its premiere at the Seville Festival.
