English I don’t want to be prejudiced against black people, but I feel like most of the movies about them are about them undergoing some horrible, even unbelievable, ordeals. Here, it is pretty obvious. Thus, The Hurricane doesn’t bring anything new or unique. However, Denzel Washington portrays the black guy with a sad destiny sitting in jail so authentically that the two and a half hours go by in the blink of an eye. Sure, the premise is nothing inventive, but it is filmed well, so there is no reason to be dissatisfied. Some people might say this film is a routine job and they wouldn’t be wrong. However, this routine is rather enjoyable. ()
