Tommaso

After a long relationship with Tommaso, his companion, Chiara, cannot put up with it any longer and leaves him. Now he sees in front of him endless freedom and countless affairs. He is a young, handsome, kind, and romantic actor, but he can never decide between impulsiveness and resistance, and soon he becomes aware that he is free only to repeat the same mistakes; in other words, he is an "unexploded bomb" for the women he meets. His relationships always finish in the same way, and he is caught between his unclean thoughts and paralyzing fears. This repetition compulsion of his is finally interrupted one day, and an absolute void is created around him. Now Tommaso is alone and there is no escape: he has to face up to a moment in his past when everything stopped. (Venice International Film Festival)
