Nicolas Cage’s movies have been really declining in quality. The emphasis put on his injured right ear was almost ridiculous. It’s clear that he no longer knows what kind of movies he should appear in, and that he’s taking way too many roles. The only good thing was that this movie didn’t have the three-hour running time the creators originally planned for, because otherwise I’d not have finished watching it. ()
I simply like Nicolas Cage, and perhaps that's precisely because he doesn't really care what he's film he’s acting in. He takes roles on after the other, and lately, he regularly appears in B-movie productions. This political thriller, however, is not bad at all, and for a B-movie, it's good, thanks to Cage's performance. He's traditional, but I still enjoy it. Moreover, he has yet another excellent look.
