English Quite pleasant, although the level of infantility and film clichés, which lacked a portion of the animator's insight, was at times just barely bearable. The animation is very nice and Disney's morality is, as always, on the fairy-tale level. I consider the best part to be the retrospective on the past of Spinning, which had a large piece of old poetry in it. Otherwise, it’s only an above-average film for children. ()

English Yet again a Pixar movie, where everyone who watches it feels like a kid again. I saw this kind of a one-way trip to a new world last time in Monsters, Inc., but while back then it was all about cuteness and imagination, here I willingly got caught up in moral messages, appealing cars, a breathtaking racing atmosphere, and (it's strange to say), sincere and sufficiently light-hearted romance. And in the end, even moved by a surprising cascade of tears. John Lasseter does it again. ()

English Excellent. I have loved cars ever since I was little and this was just perfect. Pixar celebrated its twentieth anniversary in great style. He embellished a classic Disney story with a completely new universe full of cars, each one cuter than the other, whether we’re talking about the self-confident Lightning McQueen, Mack the truck or Sally (darn, I fell in love with a Porsche ;). The story may not be as original as they tend to be with Pixar, but this small drawback is made up for with such care that you (or a car) have no reason to complain at all. By the way, this is the first time this year that I laughed out loud in the movie theatre. PIXAR IS THE BEST. I recommend staying till the end of the credits, it’s worth it. ()

English Cute, that's for sure. But the 4* are reluctant. Considering the large team of writers, I expected much more sophisticated humour, with better punchlines and not so infantile. It is definitely not a "Shrek-like" explosion of references, quotes and double entendres. The really funny situations (a hippie pacifist Hendrix fan vs. a military vehicle) won't be picked up by small children, who will be happy that the animation is perfect. The moral by the end was alright. ()

English Currently, it doesn't look that great anymore, but coming up with the idea that cars would be in the leading role, using their characteristics and humanizing them a bit, was truly a winning stroke. Children, especially boys, love cars, and even today, perhaps due to the constant revival of interest, I see even young kids enjoying various characters. I like them, too. Today, the film has expanded with sequels and Planes, but this first one is still entertaining. ()
