Paediatrician Alexandre Beck (Francois Cluzet) is still psychologically damaged from the murder of his wife, Morgot (Marie-Josee Croze) eight years ago. Apparently the act of a serial killer, although he has consistently denied it, Morgot's case is reopened when two new bodies are discovered near to where she was murdered. When Alexandre recieves an email link to a video showing a woman strikingly similar to his deceased wife, and asking him to tell no one, his investigations are hampered as he becomes the prime suspect in his wife's murder. Long time I was looking for this movie and was extremely curious about it, in France it had a decent attendance and Guillaume Canet is praised as one of the most promising talents. However, it is just a regular thriller, with hints of action and a very weak twist. And I love surprises and twists. At least François Cluzet has returned to the spotlight. ()
I’ve never seen a film take such a small, trivial idea and stretch it into a full-length movie. Imagine getting a spam email, opening it, and clicking a link that doesn’t load... Boom, there’s your plot! Why didn’t it open? That’s the big mystery. ()
