After Earth is torn apart by religious differences and the human race teeters on the edge of extinction, an atheistic android architect sends two of his creations, Mother and Father, to start a peaceful, godless colony on the planet Kepler-22b. Raised by Wolves follows Mother and Father as they attempt to raise human children in this mysterious virgin land, a treacherous and difficult task that’s jeopardized by the arrival of the Mithraic, a deeply devout religious order of surviving humans. As the androids make contact with this zealous and dangerous people, they struggle to control the beliefs of their fiercely self-determining children. (HBO Max)

English Raised by Wolves may very well be the series disappointment of the year. Ridley Scott only directed the first two episodes and the rest was directed by either his son or someone else entirely and it shows. The series certainly has nice production design (the costumes are terrible though), an interesting idea and the story itself isn't entirely bad, but it suffers from a slow pace. The action is completely absent and the characters are not as likeable as in other series. There are a few interesting scenes, but it was too cold and intimate for my taste. Sci-Fi fans may find something to like, but for me it's a disappointment and if there is a second series, I will a lot of persuasion to watch it. P.S.: At least it was good to see Ragnar from Vikings. Story****, Action** Humor>No, Violence***, Entertainment***, Music***, Visuals****, Atmosphere***, Suspense*. 6/10. ()

English Right from the beginning I got on this series’ vibe so I didn’t even mind its story line and the ending. Quite the opposite. Raised by the Wolves is one of the most typical of the contemporary standard sci-fi productions. The creators not only made the story about two androids, they even created a new planet with new rules and opened the doors for the premise of something not seen before. It is true that the episodes created by Ridley Scott are at the top level but the series loses some of the edge at the end. Nevertheless for the standards of contemporary sci-fi experiences, Raised by the Wolves is quite an uncommon piece, and therefore it deserves watching. Moreover there is not a premise more interesting that HBO Max could have used to find its way to the viewers. ()

English The Mythraists turned out to be a weird hybrid in the end. The Scotts give it a great visual for and promise a lot. They make the viewer ask lots of questions, which they don’t answer, but in the last episode they play an all too familiar tune. The wolves have great moments, but they are occasionally so unbelievably stupid that it hurts. And any attempt to show emotional anguish in androids in bound to seem weird. But the acting is outstanding, apart from Fimmel, who is identical in every role he plays. ()
