Two best friends have their lives turned upside down when they're unexpectedly charged with the care of seven-year-old twins while on the verge of the biggest business deal of their lives. The clueless bachelors stumble in their efforts to take care of the children, leading to one debacle after another, with a gorilla and some pecking penguins -- and perhaps to a newfound understanding of what's really important in life. This film has a slightly bitter taste, as it can be described as the "John Travolta project", given the family tragedies that have affected the famous actor in recent years. Otherwise, it is an undemanding, at times entertaining and funny comedy, where Travolta and Robin Williams work quite well together. Other well-known actors such as Matt Dillon and Justin Long will entertain and amuse in supporting roles. ()
It's nonsense, it's overly sweet, and in the end, quite silly, but still, I can't help it, I enjoyed it. Both lead actors are to blame for that because I just like them and enjoy watching them. They make the whole movie more enjoyable for me, and I'm willing to overlook some mistakes, even the big ones it has. A film is supposed to entertain and I enjoyed this one. ()
