It turns out that Santa Claus (WWE Superstar Bill Goldberg) is not really the sweet old fellow that we all know and love. In fact, he's a devil and the only thing that's kept his bad side in check was a bet he lost with an angel. After 1,000 years of playing nice, the bet is up and Santa is about to open up a can of holiday whoop-ass! The only glimmer of hope comes from an old man (Robert Culp) with a secret, his grandson (Douglas Smith) and his girlfriend (Emilie de Ravin, from TV's Lost). Brace yourself for one really bad Santa, bent on spreading holiday fear! (official distributor synopsis)

An incredible romp that is only watchable thanks to the brutal Santa Bill Goldberg. He wreaks death and destruction with such panache and fearlessness that even Arnold in his prime would have quickly run away before him. Unfortunately, the stupid story gets in the way of Santa, and the screenwriter turned an otherwise crazy morbid comedy into an insane mess with unlikeable main characters that only slow down the pace. Besides, the film is neither brutal enough as horror nor funny and imaginative enough as a pure parody. Just another one of the many films that promised to be quite entertaining, but somehow got stuck half way. For me 2 1/2*. ()
If you want to see a movie that will spoil your mood with its childishness, this is the one. If you like half-dressed dudes in tight red costumes beating everyone around, yes, you're on the right track there too. If you like awfully smart guys who have trouble in the field of love, in the question of "to believe in Santa or not?", you've found the movie for you. Luckily a crazy old man's a sure thing! Poor Claire... ()
Santa's Slay delivers what it promises - a mediocre horror comedy, where there isn't really that much horror, although some gore does appear. However, it's definitely not a massacre. Some elements are genuinely fun, and it has a fairly well-thought-out mythology, so I did enjoy the movie. It's a pity that there wasn't a bit more humor and that it didn't blow me away. ()
