Anne Leighton

Biography

Raised in a small town on a farm in eastern Washington, Anne discovered her love of performing on stage as a ballerina and at the young age of ten (the youngest ever) was chosen by Parisian choreographer Jean Paul to appear in his production of The Nutcracker for the U.S. tour. Shortly afterwards her family moved to the Middle East where she lived from her young teens to high school years. Due to the absence of any type of dance institution, she became herself consumed with performing on stage in musicals. While attending the British Academy she performed in numerous stage productions, including Grease, Smike and Nicholas Nickelby. After acquiring her BA she moved to New York to study and perform with The Barrow Group Theatre Company.
