After watching a few Dutch films, you start to expect the unexpected, so Ferry didn’t shock me too much. What did catch me off guard were the occasional absurd situations and the fact that there’s a mafia presence in the Benelux region—who would’ve thought? I see this film as an entry point into the world of the series it’s based on, and I have to admit, it piqued my interest. Maybe I’ll give the series a shot sometime in the future.
