Killer Frequency Shows Gameplay Before Summer Debut

Upcoming slasher-adventure Killer Frequency released a video today showcasing some new gameplay footage. Look for it on PCs (Steam) and Meta Quest 2 devices later this summer, following some slight delays from their 2022 estimate. Take control of Forrest Nash, a washed-up radio DJ and host of ‘The Scream,’ a late-night radio show. Set in the 1980s in the Midwest, Forrest will try to help listeners and callers as a masked murderer stalks them. The sheriff is dead, and it’s up to you to man the phones. How Forrest interacts with the callers will affect whether they live or die. Listen carefully for clues and information, solve puzzles around the studio to help them, and be sure to keep the playlist and the switchboard going until dawn. With some deduction you can even potentially unmask the killer and bring them to justice. Become a hero, or broadcast the victims’ last moments live on air between jams. It’s a good mix of campy horror from the 80s mixed with playing Oracle for the frightened public.

Developer and publisher Team17 Digital started in the industry in 1990. Part of Team 17 Group, the studio has a portfolio of over ten dozen titles and pursues the spirit of independent games. Their games have won multiple awards and nominations. Some of their prior works include Hell Let Loose, Golf With Your Friends, The Escapists, and the Worms franchise. They’ve also partnered with teams from Blasphemous, Greak: Memories of Azur, and the Overcooked! franchise. They expect to launch their latest project, Killer Frequency, in summer 2023.
