Zhezhi Overview

In Wuthering Waves, Zhezhi is a 5-Stars Glacio character and uses Rectifier during the fight.

Zhezhi uses her Basic Attack and Intro Skill to acquire “Afflatus”. By consuming “Afflatus”, Zhezhi can use enhanced Resonance Skill or Speical Heavy Attack to summon “Phantasmic Imprint”. Zhezhi can travel around “Phantasmic Imprint” and deal damage. Zhezhi’s Liberation can make Zhezhi be able to deal steady Coorindate Attack even she is off the field. Zhezhi can also provides Glacio DMG Deepen buff and Resonance Skill DMG Deepen buff to the DPS in the team.

Pros

  • Deal steady coordinate by using her Libeation
  • Provides Glacio DMG Deepen buff and Resonance Skill DMG Deepen buff to the DPS in the team.
  • Help restore energy of teammmate

Cons

  • Damage output is not outstanding.

Zhezhi Mechanism

Zhezhi Main Mechanism – “Afflatus” & “Phantasmic Imprint”
Zhezhi’s Forte Circuit energy is called ‘Afflatus’, with a maximum of 90 points. When Zhezhi has 60 ‘Afflatus’, casting a Resonance Skill will summon Phantasmic Imprint·Left and Phantasmic Imprint·Right on either side of the target. Additionally, Zhezhi can perform a special Heavy Attack to consume 30 ‘Afflatus’ points and summon Phantasmic Imprint·Middle behind the target.

When Phantasmic Imprint is present on the field and Zhezhi is within a certain range, the Resonance Skill is replaced by the enhanced Resonance Skill Stroke of Genius (referred to as Enhanced RS1), with no cooldown. Players can select one of the Phantasmic Imprint using the camera rotation, and the selected Phantasmic Imprint will be connected to Zhezhi by a line.

When Enhanced RS1 is used, Zhezhi instantly moves to the position of the selected Phantasmic Imprint, dealing damage to the target.

After using Enhanced RS1 once, Zhezhi gains one stack of Painter’s Delight. When having two stacks of Painter’s Delight, the enhanced Resonance Skill Stroke of Genius is further enhanced, becoming Resonance Skill – Creation’s Zenith (referred to as Enhanced RS2). Using this skill also allows instant movement to the Phantasmic Imprint position, dealing higher damage and granting a 27s Basic Attack damage bonus.

Zhezhi’s Coorindated Attacks
Zhezhi’s Resonance Liberation provides a 30s coordinated attack state. When any team member deals damage, it triggers a coordinated attack damage every second for the next 3 seconds, lasting 30s or up to 21 coordinated attacks. Note that Echo Skill’s (other than Jue) cannot trigger coordinated attacks.

Zhezhi’s Support Ability
Zhezhi’s Outro Skill provides a 20% Glacio damage Deepen and a 25% Resonance Skill damage Deepen. The inherent skill can help the next character recover 15 Resonance energy, making Zhezhi a great support for Glacio Main DPS or a Main DPS focused on Resonance Skill damage. For example, in a team with Jinhsi and Yuanwu, replacing Yuanwu with Zhezhi results in about a 25% increase.

Acquisition of ‘Afflatus’
Zhezhi’s three-stage Basic Attack can restore 10, 15, and 25 points of ‘Afflatus’ respectively. A Heavy Attack can restore 15 points (if you hold the Basic Attack button, it will perform Basic Attack 1 followed by a Heavy Attack, restoring a total of 25 ‘Afflatus’ points). Zhezhi’s dodge counter module corresponds to the second stage of the Basic Attack and can restore 15 ‘Afflatus’ points. Zhezhi’s Intro Skill can restore 45 points of ‘Afflatus’.

In conclusion, using the Intro Skill followed by three Basic Attacks allows Zhezhi to accumulate 90 ‘Afflatus’ points and start a burst.

About Phantasmic Imprint
Zhezhi’s RS can be cast on the ground or in the air, and the position of Phantasmic Imprint will change accordingly. When pressing the RS key briefly on the ground, Phantasmic Imprint will be on the ground; holding the RS key, Phantasmic Imprint will be in mid-air.

When using Enhanced RS1, Zhezhi instantly moves to the Phantasmic Imprint position. Although the form appears like teleportation, it is actually rapid movement. It can be blocked by obstacles, and if you switch characters during the movement, the character will remain at the position when switched.

Suggested Resonance Chain

Sequence 1
Sequence 2
Sequence 3
Sequence 4
Sequence 5
Sequence 6

S1
15 Resonance Energy points are equivalent to about 12% Energy Regen, total increasing by about 7.2%.

S2
Overall increases is 9.7%. Note that since coordinated attacks can trigger only once per second, if your team rotation is less than 27s, the benefit of S2 decreases. Also, this calculation considers the boost to Zhezhi’s own output from the S2. If Zhezhi is paired with Jinshi, the benefit of S2 also decreases, as the coordinated attack from a S0 Zhezhi is enough to ensure that Jinshi’s burst always has nearly full buffs.

S3
Overall increases is 16.9%. The 3 stacks of buff here does not have independent timers; using the Resonance Skill can refresh the duration of all 3 stacks of buff.

S4
Overall increases is 6.2%.

S5
Overall increases is 23%. If Zhezhi’s playstyle leans more towards being the Main DPS, the benefit of S5 decreases. When you fully utilize Zhezhi’s damage output, the performance benefit of S5 tends towards 15.3%.

S6
Overall increases is 23.5%. If Zhezhi’s playstyle leans more towards being the Main DPS, the performance of S6 increases. When you fully utilize Zhezhi’s damage output, the performance benefit of S6 tends towards 30%.

Pulling recommendations
Zhezhi’s damage performance before S6 is not impressive. It’s recommended to pull for S0R0 or S0R1 for support use. If you intend to use Zhezhi for damage, then S6 is recommended. S1 to S5 is not suggested.

Sub Stats

Energy Regen(20%) > CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG > ATK% ≅ Basic Attack DMG bonus > ATK

In most situations, you can choose to use the Glacio set, especially if you don’t have Jinhsi. The recommended main Echo is Lampylumen Myriad, even though Zhezhi doesn’t particularly need the RS DMG bonus.

For Main stats, you can choose either “2 Glacio bonus” or “1 Glacio bonus and 1 ATK%” for the 3C Echos, as there isn’t much difference between them. Just pick the ones with better sub stats.

Regarding Sub stats, Crit Rate and Crit Dmg provide the highest benefits. Since Zhezhi’s base attack value is relatively low, the benefit from ATK% is minimal. Additionally, since Zhezhi’s Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 80%, the priority between ATK% and Basic Attack DMG bonus is about the same. It’s recommended to have Energy Regen at 120%.

Sub Stats

If you’re planning to pull for Zhezhi to assist a strong DPS like Jinhsi, then the Moonlit Cloud set is recommended. Comparing the DPS of the whole team, Moonlit Cloud set Zhezhi performs about 5-6% better than a Zhezhi equipped with the Glacio set.

For Main stats, “2 Glacio bonus” is optimal for the 3C Echo, but if you’re using Zhezhi as a support, sacrificing a bit of damage for convenience and versatility with “2 ATK%” is also a viable option.

Regarding Sub stats, Crit Rate and Crit Dmg provide the highest benefits. Since Zhezhi’s base attack is relatively low, the benefit from ATK% is minimal. Additionally, since Zhezhi’s Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 80% of her total damage, the priority between ATK% and Basic Attack DMG bonus is about the same. It’s recommended to have Energy Regen at 120%.

The best 5-star weapon for Zhezhi is her signature weapon – Rime-Draped Sprouts, which provides a significant Basic Attack DMG bonus. The bonus is still up even when Zhezhi is off-field. The next best 5-star weapon is Yinlin’s signature weapon – Stringmaster. Lastly, it’s the permanent 5-star weapon, but its performance is not worth pulling specifically for Zhezhi.

For 4-star weapons, the Battle Pass weapon – Augment, is the best choice, but be aware that Zhezhi’s rotation heavily influences the performance of Augment, fluctuating by about ±4%. The best method for using the Augment is to fully charge the Forte Circuit Energy before using Liberation, then start the burst phase.

Zhezhi Team Comp

Zhezhi Best Team 1

Main DPS – Jinhsi

Jinhsi relies on teammates’ coordinated attacks to rapidly stack “Incandescence” and maximize the damage of enhanced skills.

Sub DPS – Zhezhi

Zhezhi has excellent and stable Coordinate Attack capabilities which can assist Jinhsi to stack “Incandescence” efficiently. The Outro Skill of Zhezhi can also provides the 25% RS damage deepen buff to Jinhsi. Finally, the Inherent Skill of Zhezhi can help restore Jinhsi’s energy by 15, which can help reduce Jinhsi’s Energy Regen requirement by nearly 10%.

Healer – Verina/Baizhi

Verina’s healing abilities and Concerto Energy acquisition abilities are both greater than Baizhi’s, making her the preferred healer character. Verina’s Inherent Skill provides a one-time death immunity effect. Baizhi also has a similar effect that is even better, but it requires unlocking at Sequence 5.

Verina’s healing amount is based on her ATK, so Verina has a certain degree of damage output. If you build it well, her damage should not be underestimated.

Verina’s Inherent Skill can provide a 20% attack buff to the entire team, while Baizhi can only provide a 15% attack buff to a single character.

Zhezhi Best Team 2

Main DPS – Lingyang

Lingyang is a Glacio DPS which can be a possible teammate of Zhezhi.

Sub DPS – Zhezhi

Although Zhezhi can significantly boost Lingyang’s damage output, compared to Sanhua, Zhezhi requires slightly more on-field time, which makes the overall DPS increase for the team less noticeable.

Healer – Verina/Baizhi

Both Verina and Baizhi are healers that can provide All-types DMG deepen and ATK% increase to teammates. While Verina is more comprehensive that her buff is longer and Verina can protects a party member from fatal damage every 10 mins.

Zhezhi Best Team 3

DPS – Zhezhi and Sahua

Sanhua can provide a Basic Attack DMG Deepen buff for Zhezhi, while Zhezhi can offer a Glacio DMG and RS DMG Deepen buff for Sanhua, mutually enhancing each other.

Healer – Verina/Baizhi

Both Verina and Baizhi are healers that can provide All-types DMG deepen and ATK% increase to teammates. While Verina is more comprehensive that her buff is longer and Verina can protects a party member from fatal damage every 10 mins.

More Build Guides

Calcharo

Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.

After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.

Encore

mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.

In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.

Sanhua

Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.

Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.

Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output. Our team composition recommendations for various characters also show Sanhua’s high versatility.
