Jinhsi Overview

In Wuthering Waves, Jinhsi is a 5-Stars Spectro character and uses Broadblade during the fight.

Jinhsi Review

After Jinhsi uses her Skill, she enters the ‘Incarnation’ state. Using the 4th enhanced Basic Attack during this state grants her ‘Ordination Glow.’ Once ‘Ordination Glow’ is obtained, both her Skill and Basic Attack are further enhanced. The enhanced Skill becomes Jinhsi’s primary source of damage. Teammates’ attacks can generate ‘Incandescence,’ which increases the damage of the enhanced Skill. Coordinated attacks can generate even more ‘Incandescence,’ so Jinhsi’s teammates should primarily be characters with coordinated attack mechanisms.”

Pros

  • Unlike most characters, Jinhsi initiates her burst phase with a Skill, offering greater flexibility.
  • Excellent damage, effective against both single targets and groups.

Cons

  • Virtually none.

Intro Skill

The main damage skill multiplier for Jinhsi comes from Forte Circuit, accounting for about 74%. Therefore, prioritize upgrading Forte Circuit first, followed by Liberation, which accounts for about 18%. The priority for Resonance Skill, Basic Attack, and Intro Skill is low, so it is recommended to max out Forte Circuit and Liberation, and then unlock Inherent Skill and attribute bonuses, before upgrading them.

Can be cast in mid-air.
While Ordination Glow lasts:
– Basic Attack is replaced with the Alternative Heavy Attack “Incarnation: Heavy Attack” when airborne. Attack the target in mid-air at the cost of Stamina, dealing Spectro DMG.
Resonance Skill is replaced with Resonance Skill Illuminous Epiphany. Send out Solar Flare that detonates as Stella Glamour that deals Spectro Damage after a short delay. When Jinhsi has “Incandescence“, consume up to 40 Incandescence, each point of Incandescence grants an additional DMG multiplier percentage to the Star Glamour. Can be cast in mid-air.
After casting Resonance Skill Illuminous Epiphany, Jinhsi gains Unison. This can be triggered once in 25s.

Unison
While Jinhsi has Unison, switching to other Characters will remove Jinhsi’s Unison to trigger Jinhsi’s Outro Skill and the incoming character’s Intro Skill. Unison will be consumed in priority in place of Concerto Energy when Concerto Energy is full.

Incandescence
Jinhsi can hold up to 50 Incandescence.
When Jinhsi is on the team, all nearby characters on the team gain Eras in Unity. When characters with Eras in Unity deal Damage with an attribute, Jinhsi gains 1 Incandescence. Damage of the same attribute can provide up to 1 Incandescence every 3s.

S1
When Jinhsi uses her enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Resonance Skill II, she gains a stack of the Herald of Revival effect, up to a maximum of 4 stacks. Using enhanced Resonance Skill III consumes all stacks, with each stack increasing the damage of enhanced Resonance Skill III by 20%. The stacks of Herald of Revival do not disappear when she leaves the field, making it very stable. This provides Jinhsi with an approximate 13.4% increase.

S2
When Jinhsi is out of combat for more than 4 seconds, her Incandescence value is fully restored. This effect provides a great experience in Open World gameplay and also allows her to start with a full Incandescence value in the ToA. Comparing two sets of enhanced Resonance Skill III at the start of ToA, S2 Jinhsi’s damage is about 18.9% higher than S1 Jinhsi’s. Of course, this boost gradually decreases with longer combat durations (down to 8.6% after four sets of enhanced Resonance Skill III), but it remains practically significant for saving time in boss battles or quickly clearing mobs before the boss.

S3
When Jinhsi uses her Intro Skill, her attack is increased by 25%, up to 2 stacks, lasting 20 seconds. Testing shows that this attack buff is not independent, and the duration of the 2 stacks can be extended with repeated gains, almost providing full coverage. Compared to 2-chain Jinhsi, this results in an approximate 18.8% increase.

S4
When Jinhsi uses Liberation or enhanced Resonance Skill III, the attribute damage bonus of the entire team is increased by 20%. This is a very versatile effect, providing Jinhsi with an approximate 6.3% increase.

S5
The multiplier of Liberation is increased by 120%, i.e., the original multiplier * 2.2. This provides Jinhsi with an approximate 15.4% increase.

S6
The multiplier of enhanced Resonance Skill III is increased by 45%, and each consumed stack of Incandescence further increases the multiplier by 45%. Testing shows that the final total multiplier of enhanced Resonance Skill III is calculated as follows: Solar Flare DMG multiplier * 1.45 + Star Glamour DMG multiplier * 1.45 + Incandescence multiplier * stacks * 1.45, resulting in an approximate 22.3% increase for Jinhsi.

Therefore, pulling Recommendations:
S0R1/S3R1/S6R1

If you highly value the open-world experience, S2R1 is also worth considering, as the initial high burst can provide some benefits for ToA as well.

Jinhsi DPS Echo Skill Priority

Here we will briefly introduce the special features of Jué’s Echo Skill. Jué, as a summoning-type echo, deals full damage even if the character leaves the field after using it.

Additionally, when Jué’s Spectro skill is activated, it grants the “Blessing of Time” effect. During the effect’s duration, the character’s Resonance Skill DMG bonus is increased by 16%. Moreover, if the character hits a target with a Resonance Skill, the target will receive 16% Spectro damage per second for 15 seconds. This damage is considered the character’s Resonance Skill damage, so it benefits from the character’s Spectro DMG Bonus and Skill DMG Bonus and can also provide stack of “Incandescence”.

Therefore, compared to Mourning Aix, Jué’s unique DoT-type Echo Skill can provide Jinhsi with nearly 12 “Incandescence” points per round, enhancing damage by approximately 20%, whereas Mourning Aix’s buff only offers about a 4.6% damage increase.

Sub Stats

Energy Regen(30%) > CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG > ATK% > Resonance Skill DMG > ATK > Resonance Liberation DMG

Regarding the main stats of the two 3C Echos, pairing 1 ATK% and 1 Spectro DMG yields a benefit of 1-3% more compared to 2 Spectro DMG. Considering that some characters like Mortefi’s S6 provide an additional 20% ATK buff, this slight difference can be negligible, so it’s still better to use the one with better sub-stats. For Jinhsi who isn’t using a Signature weapon, choosing two Spectro DMG 3C Echos is suggested.

Additionally, due to Jinhsi’s diluted DMG addition multiplier, 44111 can also be considered as an option for the Echo set.

Jinhsi’s signature weapon – Ages of Harvest’s weapon skill that grants two different buffs when using the Intro skill and Resonance skill, each providing a 24% Resonance skill damage boost. It’s important to note that these two buffs are specific to the Intro skill and Resonance skill, and their timers are independent of each other. This means you must use both the Intro skill and the Resonance skill to gain the full 48% damage boost. If you use the Resonance skill twice, you will still only receive a 24% damage boost.

Jinhsi Team Comp

Jinhsi Best Team 1

Main DPS – Jinhsi

Jinhsi relies on teammates’ coordinated Attack to maximize the rate of stacking “Incandescence” in order to maximize the damage of enhanced skill. Therefore, prioritize selecting teammates with coordinated attack mechanisms.

Sub DPS – Yinlin/Mortefi/Yuanwu

When facing multiple targets, Yinlin is the best sub DPS for Jinhsi. Yinlin has AoE coordinated attack, and the cooldown of her coordinated attack is exactly 1 second, matching the cooldown for stacking “Incandescence” (once every 3 seconds). Additionally, Yinlin’s enhanced basic attack restores concerto energy proportionally to the number of enemies hit, allowing for a quick recharge of concerto energy.

In a single-target environment, Mortefi is the top choice. Mortefi can fully charge concerto energy using Intro Skill, Basic Attack, Skill, and enhanced Skill, making her an excellent coordinated attack teammate. Mortefi at S4 can significantly reduce the downtime of coordinated attacks, while at S6, Mortefi can greatly enhance her support capabilities for Jinhsi. The drawback is that Mortefi below S4 performs poorly in Jinhsi’s team.

If neither Yinlin nor S4 Mortefi is available, pairing Jinhsi with Yuanwu is also a viable option. Yuanwu’s efficiency in stacking “Incandescence” through coordinated attacks is comparable to Mortefi’s, and the operation is simple; occasionally switching to Yuanwu to use his Skill can maintain coordinated attacks. However, the downside is the slow acquisition of concerto energy, making it difficult to consistently trigger the Moonlit Clouds set. Therefore, another approach is suggested: equip Yuanwu with the ‘Rejuvenating Glow’ set and use “Cruisewing” as the Main Echo to trigger the ‘Rejuvenating Glow’ set, and then let the Healer carry ‘Moonlit Cloud’.

Healer – Verina/Baizhi

Since both Verina and Jinhsi are Spectro characters, and Verina’s ‘Jué’ echo skill provides a 15-second DoT, each coordinated attack by Verina only provides 2 points of ‘Incandescence’. Additionally, the cooldown of coordinated attacks does not match the cooldown for stacking ‘Incandescence’, so during the 10S Liberation period, Verina can only provide Jinhsi with about 14-16 points of ‘Incandescence’. If the character is attacked or the boss moves during Liberation, the amount of ‘Incandescence’ obtained will be even less.

Baizhi’s Liberation can also provide coordinated attacks, and it deals Glacio damage, with each coordinated attack providing 3 points of ‘Incandescence’. During the entire Liberation period, 12 points of ‘Incandescence’ can be obtained. An S4 Baizhi will have two additional coordinated attacks, increasing the ‘Incandescence’ gained to 18 points. Moreover, Baizhi’s attacks are unique in that they do not need to hit the enemy to trigger, and Baizhi’s coordinated attacks can also trigger Yinlin’s coordinated attacks. The downside is that Baizhi gains concerto energy slower than Verina and has a 5% lower ATK buff, which is also a single-target buff.

Jinhsi Best Team 2

Main DPS – Jinhsi

Jinhsi relies on teammates’ coordinated Attack to maximize the rate of stacking “Incandescence” in order to maximize the damage of enhanced skill.

But in this team, the stacking of is “Incandescence” trade off to exchange with Taoqi’s Skill Deepen buff.

Sub DPS – Taoqi

Taoqi can provide excellent Skill Deepen Buff and shield to shield. The downside is lower stacking in “Incandescence”.

Jinhsi Best Team 3 (Double Core)

DPS – Jinhsi + Jiyan/Calcharo/Encore

In this team composition, the damage output is shared by two characters. The criteria for choosing a DPS character to pair with Jinhsi is – having multiple animation-cancel’s skills for quick swapping during their rotation and being able to deal damage comparable to Jinhsi.

This is because the basic strategy of this team is to let Jinhsi and her teammate take advantage of each other’s quick swap windows, achieving alternate warm-up and burst cycles.

Healer – Verina

Since the damage output is shared by two characters, Verina’s inherent skills are much better than Baizhi’s, so Verina is recommended for the healer role.

Calcharo

Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.

After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.

Encore

mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.

In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.

Sanhua

Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.

Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.

Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output. Our team composition recommendations for various characters also show Sanhua’s high versatility.
