• Good afternoon
Can you please tell me if I can disable the gradient in the header and if so, where?
WordPress has become too complicated – I’m trying to disable it in the template, separately in the Header and in some other places – but it doesn’t work.
I want to just white text, if possible

And more – can I make it so that the text is not repeated in the header?

    Thanks

If nothing can be done, it’s okay. I realize that the author of the topic obviously had a certain idea, and as a creative person, he certainly has the right to his opinion

    Hi @kobzew,

The gradient is not included in the theme by default, so I’m assuming you’ve added it in the Site Editor. You’ll have to go to Appearance → Site Editor, select the site title element, and remove the gradient in the righthand sidebar.

If you also deselect the “Marquee ←” block style for the site title block, the marquee effect will be disabled.

    Thank you.
Apparently the gradient is really not enabled in the settings.
It’s just that when I customize the font and go to the Gradient setting, there’s already some blue there (but apparently it’s not activated).

In this case, by gradient I meant the effect of the letters of the title passing through (to the right or to the left), when the letters pass over the picture and change it (as if you were looking at an X-ray).
This is a very beautiful effect-but in my case the text becomes very hard to read.
Can’t this effect be turned off or muted?

If I set the default button, I get two headers, one above the other.
Is this the way it was intended, or have I already broken something?

@kobzew Ack. There seems to be a leftover class in the Site Title block settings. Select the block, click the cog in the righthand sidebar, click the Advanced tab, remove everything in the “ADDITIONAL CSS CLASS(ES)” field, and click save. That will remove the marquee.

(I’ll fix this in an update as well, but you’ll need to go through the steps above for your site since you’ve updated the header.)

    Thank you.
Removed the obscure styles, as you said – the header text is now one and stands in place.
The only thing – it (in my case) does not fit on the screen in a cell phone – can not see a letter and a half from the end.
I’m embarrassed to talk about it – the theme has downloaded quite a few people, and no one except me is not complaining).
Ideally, the text – if it is on a small screen – should be reduced.

I could not figure out the color, although I played half an hour at least.
    I can’t get just a white header.
I have the impression that, since the header is a link, its color is more affected by the color setting not the text, but the link. At least I was able to make the text gray. Maybe there is some combination that will just make the color white)))

On the other hand, I realized that if you just remove the title, and write the name of the site just above the main text on the side – then all the problems with the title is solved. Of course, it’s not that pretty, really. But I do not think that the ordinary inhabitants of the network read sites for their beauty.

And by the way, congratulations on your new theme)))

PS. I think I understand about the size of the text on the mobile screen. It is displayed exactly the same as on the computer screen – that is, the text that goes beyond half of the screen (beyond the boundary of the picture in the center of the screen) – is not displayed on the mobile screen
