    Hi all.

I’m trying to centre my mobile menu which is working on the back end but not the front.

The site is not yet live but a couple of screenshots are here if needed.

I’m also trying to style the hamburger icon (remove the box around it and change the colour of the icon). Is this possible?

Any help would be massively appreciated 🙂

    Cheers.

    Mike.

The site is now live if it helps to take a look directly.

Hey Mike, I’m gonna go ahead and close this since we sorted it out via DM. 👍

Hi Mike. Ok no worries. Just waiting on the hamburger part but no rush / not urgent.

    Cheers.

    HI there,

Would be nice to have a digest of how you guys styled the mobile-menu as this is very unclear in the Ollie docs.

    Kind Regards, Henk

    Hey Henk.

It’s kinda complicated, but here goes.

You need to install the block visibility plugin first of all. Then duplicate your header and make the top one visible on desktop only (via the screen size option from the block visibility plugin) and the second one only visible on tablet and mobile.

Then you need to add some code to get the mobile menu to stay in the centre. I’m afraid I can’t access this as I added it in the customiser and now the customize option seems to have disappeared.

Then, make a second menu for mobile and add it to your mobile header. The also add your other elements that you want to show with it.

Here are a couple of screenshots. I hope that helps, and hopefully, Mike can give you the code if you need it.

    Mike.

    Hi Mike,

sorry for the late reply I am on a short holiday 🙂
Okay, I hoped you had a simpler solution. The way you describe it is much the same as using a mobile menu plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/mobile-menu/ this one works with Ollie.
You can still access the customizer by using the url: /wp-admin/customize.php if you need it – still is an easy way to enter css as the custom css is very deeply hidden in the new editor.

Your menu looks really good though 🙂

No worries, Henk and hope you’re having a good one 🏖️

Ah ok wasn’t aware there were plugins that can fix it. Good to know for next time.

That’s it! Knew there was a way, just couldn’t seem to type it in right. Much appreciated.

Thank you. I’ve closed this website now, but it was a valuable experience with block themes.
