Yes... Lyria - the pearl of the North! With its hills and dales... Why, its beauty matched only by that of its queen! | |||

Lyria was a small kingdom in the north that, prior to Meve's marriage to Reginald of Rivia, was an independent kingdom.[1] After their princess married Rivia's king though, the two kingdoms combined into one, forming Lyria and Rivia.
However, this union eventually dissolved, leading to the two separating back into separate kingdoms so that, centuries later, Rivia was no more and its exact location was all but forgotten. It's unclear though if Lyria was still around by that point.[2]

History[]
Second Northern War[]
In July 1267, during the Second Nilfgaard War, Lyria and Rivia were invaded and conquered by Nilfgaard without any formal declaration of war.[3] After the Lyrian golpe,[1] Meve fled and continued warfare in Aedirn[2] and Angren.[4] The kingdom was finally liberated some time around the Battle of Brenna or shortly beforehand.[5]
