Joel Simkhai

I see that you deleted the Joel Simkhai page but cannot find the reasoning and was looking to rebuild it. Could you please let me know? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopher.dilley (talkcontribs) 19:13, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - forgot to sign --Christopher.dilley (talk) 19:18, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article was deleted by WP:CSD#A7 for failing to assert why its subject is important. The full article contents were "Joel Simkhai is the owner of MagsForLess.com a website that sells discounted magazine subscriptions", and ownership of a website is by itself no indication of importance. There were also no references, which is nowadays required by our policy about living people. Anyway, if you want to write a new article about the person that satisfies our inclusion standards, just be bold and do it. A previous speedy deletion years ago is not by itself a reason to delete the article again. Hope that helps, —Kusma (t·c) 20:24, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of cultural references to A Clockwork Orange is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of cultural references to A Clockwork Orange (3rd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Anthem 07:53, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pleased to see you moving drama to the talk page. It should be done more often, but please be careful not to move the posts to above my signature - I don't want any come backs from Sandy ;) Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:16, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't move anything, I just commented on the drama. (I am the only person on Wikipedia who thinks that RfA discussions belong on the talk page). —Kusma (t·c) 18:41, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Diacritics

The discussion has now been going on long enough that we are beginning to go around in circles. Before talk escalates to shouting, I think it is important to attempt a policy wording that would have the broadest appeal among the 'neutrals' that will also hopefully swing some of the opposers. Vejvančický (talk · contribs) and I have been trying to work out on my talk page what wording we would like to see in a new proposed statement. Your input would be appreciated. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 02:21, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This discussion has gone around in circles for years now, and I have little hope that anything can really be done about it. Voßstraße says hi. —Kusma (t·c) 12:43, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Walking the walk

Chortle, chortle! Little user hit nail on head as so often! For many occasions of supporting Bishzilla ever since Zilla RFA in early cretaceous period, little Kusma is solemnly awarded well-deserved and rarely seen "Walk of Fame" Bishzillastar! bishzilla ROARR!! 18:41, 3 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]

oddity

I just had a look through Portal:Germany/New article announcements and found a number of recent sadly shortlived editors who tend to create perfectly attributed articles (translations from dewiki) culminating in announcing that article on the board. Time to catch the next one coming along and integrate. Could be very useful to the project :-) Agathoclea (talk) 20:47, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Experienced people from dewiki, maybe? But why do they have new accounts in the days of SUL? Hmm... —Kusma (t·c) 05:16, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
using a number of accounts seems to be a privacy thing on deWiki. This account appears to have been made just for the purpose of making a historic* edit attibuted to two editors. (*Last German municipality article created on deWiki) Agathoclea (talk) 11:22, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your day is coming...

Hey, I just wanted to remind you, it's getting to be that time of year. Your very own day is coming up, this Saturday! What will you do to celebrate? (And doesn't 2007 seem like just yesterday?) – Quadell (talk)
