Kovai Chezhiyan
Chezhian (Tamil: கோவை செழியன்)(also Kovai Chezhiyan and Kovai Chezhian) was a South Indian director cum producer who worked in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He had produced films with famous stars including Sivaji Ganesan, Rajesh Khanna, Mohan_(actor), Mammootty, and Muthuraman.Chezhian, originally from South India, has also produced Hindi films also. He was the owner of Kay Cee Films.
Personal life
A member of the DMK general council from the beginning, Mr. Chezhian had started several labour unions under the party fold and had been arrested during the anti-Hindi agitation in the early 1960s. Mr. Chezhian was first elected to the Assembly in 1971 from the Kangeyam constituency, later threw his lot with the late M.G. Ramachandran and joined the AIADMK in November, 1973. Subsequently, he floated his own party, Tamil Desiya Katchi. A former vice-chairman of the State Planning Commission, Mr. Chezhian was also the founder President of the State Kongu Vellala Gounders' Federation. He has produced about 20 films including some in Hindi and some joint productions with the late poet Kannadasan.He was survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
Notable director C. V. Sridhar is one of his close friend.

Most of Mohan's chances came from the producer - Kovai Chezhian. But when his films became hit (courtesy : IR's music), he started bargaining about his renumeration. Then Kovai Chezhian stopped using Mohan.
