Mitch Toryanski (born May 1, 1958) was born in St. Paul, MN. He has been a Republican member of the Idaho Senate since 2010 and is representing the 18th District. He is married to Kim Wherry Toryanski and is a father to three: Marshall, Nicholas, Natalya. [1]
Early Life & Career
Mitch Toryanski received his JD at The American University, Master’s in Strategic Studies at U.S. Army War College. He received his BS at the United States Military Academy, and took Russian at Defense Language Institute. He was in the U.S. Army from 1976–1992, U.S. Army Reserve from 1992–1996, Idaho National Guard from 1996-2010. He served as Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Ada County Prosecutor. Mitch is/was an Idaho National Guard Intergovernmental Deputy, Idaho State Legislature Deputy Attorney General, State of Idaho United States Army Legislative Assistant, Environment and Public Works, United States Senate Legislative Fellow, Judicial Committee, and United States Senate. He has currently been Senator of District 18 in the Idaho State Senate since 2010 and an attorney. [1]

In 2010, Mitch won election against Branden J. Hurst, D by 50.4% (6,455 votes) of the votes. Hurst received 49.6% (6,352 votes) of the votes. [2]
