The Slingsby Eagle was a British two-seat high-performance glider for training.

Design and development

The Eagle is a high-wing cantilever design built of wood and plywood. The Type 42 Eagle 3 was first flown in 1954.

An Eagle won at the 1956 International Gliding Contests in France for England.
