Barangay 79 is a barangay of Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines. With a population of 631 according to the 2020 census making it 0.04% of Caloocan Population.
Geography
Barangay 79 is located in South Caloocan, particularly at its Caimito road area. It is part of Zone 7. It is bounded by Samson Road and Barangays 77 to the south, and 78 into the east side, Barangay Potrero located in Malabon city in the north part, and 80 to the west. The Barangay is near the Monumento Circle, where the Bonifacio Monument is situated.
Government
Like all other barangays of the Philippines, the Barangay government of Barangay 79 consists of the Barangay captain, its head of government and seven preciding Barangay officers and Sangguniang Barangay staffs. Its seat of government, the barangay hall, is located at the corner of dagohoy and caimito road since December 2024.
Its current Barangay captain is Ezra V. Cruz, who has been holding the position since 2023.
