Original – The Very Large Telescope on top of the Cerro Paranal mountain in northern Chile. The telescope array consists of four 8.2 meter telescopes, four 1.8 meter movable auxiliary telescopes (in foreground), and one survey telescope (in far-right side).
Reason
Image of the Very Large Telescope array in northern Chile. The image is a bit noisy and unsharp, but hopefully the EV and composition makes up for it.
