Rude

Anna, The deletion of my article was completely uncalled for. Rather than you asking me for my sources you just presume that their are no sources on this museum. I am a student and I need to create a wikipedia page for my class. I see nothing wrong with the page I created and I am offended that you don't think black history museums are noteworthy enough to put on wikipedia. Instead of offering help, your explanation was very rude! I am simply trying to get a grade in my class, not win a Pulitzer Prize. How would you feel if someone just deleted your page which I just looked at. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasontoms13 (talkcontribs) 06:20, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Jasontoms. Please do not be upset. The article contained little more than ...The setting of this treasured historical landmark is urban, diverse and vibrant. The museum is located at 3650 Richmond Street Philadelphia, PA 19134. Please visit the webpage of this influential memory institution to learn more beyond this page... That is very promotional. Instead of just leaving a message on your talk page saying that I deleted it as promotional, I took the time to look for sources and then left a hand-written message (not a form letter) on your page. I complimented the museum and said that I tried to find sources, and said that if you did, it could become an article. I was trying to help, not be rude. Please understand that if administrators encounter a promotional userpage, it is appropriate for them to delete it.
Please be welcome here. Try to find good sources after reading the links I provided at your user talk page (Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) and WP:42). Please write neutrally. You wrote it more like a promotional brochure. Try to write it like, say, an Encyclopedia Britannica article. Best wishes. Please don't be angry. I was just trying to do the right thing. Hello Siddiquekhan1978. Yes, I have been to India (It is my favourite country), but have never heard of the subject. I am very sorry. I can undelete the article! All is not lost.
A few facts to consider:
  • On 25 November 2014, I posted Talk:Wrestling#The "Great" Sohrab Khan asking for others to see if this could be a good article.
  • At 12:35, 30 November 2014, I tagged the userpage draft with templates saying that it was a draft you were working on, and that it was a userpage, and not yet an article.
  • At 17:32, 30 November 2014, you removed those tags.
  • At 20:14, 30 November 2014, I moved it to draft space, the preferred location for working on a draft.
  • At 20:28, 30 November 2014, I decided that it must be a hoax and deleted it. I did this because:
  • Another administrator searched for sources and couldn't find any.
  • I looked for sources and couldn't find any.
  • Maybe I didn't know what to search. There is from your draft:
  • Sohrab Pahelwan
  • The Great Sohrab Khan
  • Ustad Siddiq Khan
  • Ustad Sohrab Khan
  • Ustad Sohrab Khan Pahelwan
I believe you when you say that it was not a hoax. My apologies. I made the best decision with the available information at the time. Given the same situation again, I would delete it again.
But, now you say the person is real. This is good. Let's see if it can become an article. First, it must be written with no copy pasting from Facebook. I would like to know if he really was on a diet of ten liters of milk, a pound and a half of crushed almond paste made into a tonic drink along with fruit juice and other ingredients. That would be quite a coincidence. Can you explain why that text was copied from that article? And most important of all is sources. Can you find good sources to show the subject is notable?
Best wishes. I am here to help. Thank you for not moving List of Chinese dishes in anger again. I appreciate that. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:36, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar nazi pic

Sometimes I wish there was some kind of an irony markup template. Why on Earth would you take it so seriously? I can only imagine how offensive you'll find this whole category: commons cat. Primaler (talk) 06:50, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, a collection of images about Nazis is not offensive. But, comparing an editor to a Nazi with an image of a Nazi is offensive. Nine out of ten non-Nazis would agree. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:01, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anna, thanks for the bunny

How lovely to hear from you Anna. And the bunny is a lovely creature that is welcome at all times to come and visit me on my user talk page. That soft fuzzy bunny always makes me feel warm and relaxed. I believe I told you that in the 1980s I lived with a little bunny for a couple of years; it belonged to one of my housemates back then. It used to come and visit me sometimes in the very early mornings as it was free to come and go as it wanted to. He was a white pygmy lop bunny and his (ironic) name was Godzilla. Actually I think I saved his life because when I moved in he was pining for his big bunny friend who had recently died. Godzilla had lost most of his fur and was lethargic. I clean his cage very thoroughly and brushed him every day with a soft children's brush. He gradually regrew his fur and perked up again. He liked parties and was carried around on a small red velvet cushion so that people could pet him. A great little beast. Invertzoo (talk) 14:52, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Thank you for all your work to help newbies, you're really a precious diamond for the project. You do the work that most users avoid, helping the newcomers. You really deserve lot more than just a barnstar. Thank you for your existence. I remember, your efforts to show me the right way. While I still do mistakes but I learn and when frustrated, I look over your talk page and your contributions, it gives me relief. Thank you.
