Voolvif Monn was a Shistavanen Jedi during the Clone Wars.

A reclusive loner, Voolvif Monn abstained from fraternizing with his fellow Jedi, causing some to view him as a model of Jedi detachment and others to consider him aloof.

Biography

Jedi Master Paouoish Rahhdool discovered Voolvif Monn near the Arah asteroid belt. A rare example of a Shistavanen venturing away from his pack on Uvena Prime, Voolvif Monn was trained by Paouoish Rahhdool to hone his tracking abilities and hunter instincts with his innate Force skills to become a fearsome opponent in combat.

One of the few Jedi to survive the Battle of Geonosis, Voolvif Monn was promoted to Jedi Master by the Jedi Council, made a Senior Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic and placed in command of a battalion of Clone troopers. As a general, Voolvif Monn served at the Battle of Muunilinst. During the Outer Rim Sieges, Monn fought alongside Aayla Secura, Agen Kolar and Anakin Skywalker, battling crab droids on an icy planet.

His ultimate fate is unknown; he may have been killed during the Clone Wars or the Great Jedi Purge.

Behind the scenes

  • Voolvif Monn was part of a Cartoon Network poll to determine which of three new Jedi should be introduced in the Clone Wars cartoon. He won the vote and was introduced in Chapter 20. The other two choices, Roron Corobb and Foul Moudama, were later introduced anyway.
  • The name "Voolvif Monn" is obviously a play on the 1941 horror film, The Wolf Man.
