Burnel Okana-Stazi (born July 10, 1983 in Gamboma) is a Congolese football player who is currently playing for FC Stal Alchevsk.
Career
Okana-Stazi played for few clubs in his country before moving to Europe in 2002. He played six months KSK Beveren in the season 2002/2003 as a non contract player , the club disclosed they could not afford the player at that time and he moved in January 2003 to FC Stal Alchevsk. After three seasons with FC Stal Alchevsk joined on loan to FC Slavia-Mozyr, before he returned to FC Stal Alchevsk in June 2009.
It was roumoured in October 2009 that Metalurh Donetsk would need his services from January window transfer. Okano-Stazi was linked with some MLS Clubs like Colorado Rapids and Houston Dynamo. Okana was in talks with Changsha Ginde on 13 January 2010 to sign a contract, but the deal fell through and Okana returned to FC Stal Alchevsk.
Attributes
Okana-Stazi is a very strong and fast attacking midfielder. He is a technical and determined midfielder. His style of play has allowed him to assist his many strikers to score lots of goals and he has goal scoring oppourtunities him self.
International career
Okana-Stazi made his first cap for Congo national football team in the World Cup Qualy match against Mali on 7 September 2008. He was invited to join his country's team in France for Friendly match in October 2009, but he could not make the trip to Paris on this time due to visa process in Ukraine.
Personal life
Okana Stazi is married with an Ukraine Lady, and the couple live in Donetsk, Ukraine.
