In mathematics, bivariate data is data that shows the relationship between two variables.

Dependent and Independent Variables

As the name implies, Bivariate data consists of two main variables.

Dependent Variable A variable that depends on the independent variable. IE: The amount of money you earn depends on how many hours you work.

Independent Variable The variable that does not depend on the dependent data, but alters the information on the over all of the data when changed.
