“Rule # 26: If duct tape won’t fix it, chocolate will.”

This is going to take a lot of chocolate.

Izzy’s mom died two years ago and her life is just starting to get back to normal. She is certain her family is complete, when she finds out her father is dating again. Not just dating, he’s planning to actually get married again, to a woman Izzy barely knows.

While trying to juggle the normal pressures of teenage life, and helping her drug addicted brother, Izzy also has to deal with her new stepmother’s failed pregnancy. Through talking to her boyfriend, and to seniors at the retirement home she works at, Izzy comes to terms with her changing world.
