My last assault on Asgard was meant to fail. The only challenge, you oaf, was making sure you believed my performance. I knew Odin would exile me, and when I was exiled, you would pay me no mind. It was I who orchestrated the argument between you and our "father". It was I who pushed you to leave Asgard, as the time of the Odinsleep approached. Once you were on Midgard, I knew exactly how to keep you there. After all, if your precious pets were in danger, your arrogance wouldn't allow you to leave them. And when you found mortal allies, I had the Enchantress gather fools for them as well. I was the one who barred you from Asgard, and while you played hero on Midgard, I completed my conquest of the remaining realms.

~ Loki revealing to Thor that he caused the Breakout.
Loki Laufeyson is one of the main antagonists of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, serving as the main antagonist of Season 1 and a major antagonist in Season 2.
He is the God of Mischief and arch-nemesis of his adoptive older brother Thor, son of Laufey, adoptive younger brother of Balder the Brave and adoptive younger son of Odin. He seeks to rule the universe and kill his older brother Thor while he is one of the Avengers' most prominent enemies, thus is the reason for their formation in the first place.
Loki was born to the king of Frost Giants, Laufey, who's kingdom, Jotunheim, was at war with Asgard. Led by their king, Odin, Asgard attacked Jotunheim, and during the battle, Laufey abandoned Loki. After he and the Frost Giants were defeated, Odin took pity on Loki and adopted him. Odin had two sons, Thor, the God of Thunder, and Balder the Brave. Loki was the God of Mischief, and was jealous of Thor, as he felt he always got the spotlight and Odin's favoritism. Alongside the Warriors Three, Loki and Thor traveled to Jotunheim to retrieve the Sword of Surtur. However, they found themselves in a battle with the Frost Giants, and while they managed to escape, Jotunheim and Asgard were at war once more. When Algrim used the Sword of Surtur on Odin, Loki grievously murdered him, and as a result, the horrified Odin and Thor grew distant from Loki.
Loki wished to rule Asgard, and joined with the Frost Giants, leading them to battle against Asgard. Thor defeated Loki, and brought him to Odin, who banished him to the Isle of Silence. However, the Enchantress freed him, revealing they orchestrated the whole plan, as Loki evilly laughs. Loki then disguises himself as the Leader and goes to Earth, telling the Wrecking Crew to get Thor before returning and sending the Enchantress and her right-hand man, the Executioner, to keep Thor, and his superhero team of Avengers who guarded Earth, distracted, so they caused a chain of events of Earth, including the breakout of many supervillains and the formation of the Masters of Evil. Meanwhile, with Odin in his Odinsleep, Loki conquered the seven realms, Asgard included, leaving only Midgard (he could not conquer Muspelheim since it was the realm of King Surtur the Fire Demon). He also gained the powers of the Odinforce.
The Enchantress contacted Loki via hologram, informing him of her success. In the final battle, the Avengers defeated the Masters of Evil (due to Baron Zemo betraying and controlling the Enchantress), but when they destroyed eight of the nine Norn Stones, they were taken and separated in all the realms. When Thor was taken to Asgard, Loki sat on his throne and evilly laughed. Trapping Thor in a metal head lock, Loki threw red juice on him as he revealed himself behind the Breakout, the Enchantress and the Masters of Evil, and overall, the formation of the team. Using his powers, he then tortured Thor with lightning, and mocked him that the Avengers would not survive in the realms. He and two of his Ogre guards then took Thor to the place Loki intended to have him executed. Loki replenished his energy from the Tree of Life and went back to the throne room. He opened a portal of Bifrost Bridge but saw the Avengers, having escaped their realms, fighting Loki's forces. Hulk charged towards the portal and prepared to enter but Loki furiously closed it. He then sent the giant wolf Hoarfen to deal with the Avengers and boasted to Thor about his powers.
Suddenly, Hoarfen, defeated, came crashing in and the Avengers, along with their Asgardian allies, emerged. Hulk charged at Loki but Loki blasted him backwards with lightning. Captain America throws his shield at Loki, Wasp sends her blasts at him and Hawkeye shoots an arrow, but Loki deflects them with ease and halts Lady Sif's blow with his sceptre before blasting her backwards. Ant-Man ran at Loki but Loki paused him and hanged Black Panther, sprinting on behind, onto the sceptre and knocked the two away. He then unleashed a powerful blast of energy and sent them all flying backwards, and when Cap tries to take his shield Loki wickedly smiles and shatters it with the sceptre.
Hawkeye tries to fire another arrow but Loki blasts his arrow away and prepares to do the same to the Avengers, when Iron-Man magnificently flies in in his armor. Iron Man fired a repulsor at Loki, but he deflected it with his energy shield and chased Iron Man out of the throne room into the sky. Loki electrocuted Iron Man with large surges of lightning and punches him backwards, and he avoided Iron-Man's punch and began wounding him with lightning. However, Cap threw a piece of rubble at Loki's hand, disarming him of Iron-Man. Hulk then jumped to Loki and punched him away, and Wasp began striking Loki with sting rays. Loki blasted Iron-Man to the ground and sent lightning at Cap's pillar, forcing him to jump away. Using his larger, new shield, Cap threw it at Loki but he threw it away. Hulk jumps at Loki but Loki uses his powers to deflect his blow and send him flying. Wasp blasts him in the face but the God of Mischief grabs her and throws her away, before lifting Cap and strangling him. Iron Man starts flying on him but Loki throws Cap into him, sending them both to the floor. Suddenly, Thor throws Mjolnir into Loki, causing him to crash in the wall. However, Loki emerges, all powerful, and sends a blast of power which covers the entire universe.
However, when Ant-Man destroys the Tree of Life, the Odinforce is sucked out of Loki. He falls to the ground and he is surrounded by the Avengers. Odin, having awakened and the Odinforce back in him, angrily lifts Loki into the sky and wounds him with energy, mocking him and banishing to the deep underground jungle of Yggdrasil, where he becomes prisoner of the vicious Midgard Serpent, who tortures him with poisonous acid.
Sometime later, the Enchantress, now willingly working with the Fire Lord Surtur, comes to Loki and offers him a deal, if his soul inside the Destroyer can destroy the Avengers, then she will properly set him free. He complies and his soul goes to the Destroyer, but when he fails, the Enchantress leaves a begging Loki arrived and contacts Surtur, who orders her to carry out the next part of their plan.
Personality[]
Loki is a cruel, self-centered, power-hungry megalomaniac, who deems himself the rightful ruler of the Nine Realms. He will not hesitate to destroy anyone who stands in the way of his conquest for power, and would do anything to see himself on the throne. He cares for no one but himself, and finds humans as weak and pathetic mortals, underestimating their ability and general strong-will.
However, he is a cunning, intelligent mastermind, given how he orchestrated the events of Thor fleeing Asgard, the breakout, the Enchantress and the Masters of Evil all while taking seven of the nine realms for himself and coming somewhat close to conquering the eighth one. Also, he is extremely talented in the arts of magic, with his signature move being illusions to trick his brother, and they were boosted when he possessed the Odinforce, able to take down his brother Thor, Hulk, and all the rest of the Avengers.
Powers and Abilities[]
Sorcery: Loki possessed powerful magic abilities having mastered it growing up under the training of Odin and his main teacher, later second-in-command, Amora the Enchantress. These were probably the only two people in Asgard more skilled than him in the arts of sorcery. His magical energy powers were capable of holding himself against Thor, even bringing his adoptive brother to his knees and temporarily freezing him in a large mountain of ice. He also obtains animal manipulation, shown when he dissipates a horde of moths.
Asgardian/Frost Giant Physiology: Being a hybrid of Asgardians and Frost Giants, Loki has superhuman strength capable of lifting thirty tons, and superhuman durability to the point he can survive high energy mass attacks and bullets. With an inhumanly dense tissue, his bones are very dense and he can easily survive without food, water, air and sleep. Loki is also very old and ages much slower than normal humans.
Shapeshifting: To trick opponents in battle, Loki can shapeshift and disguise himself.
Expert weapons user: Loki is skillful in using weapons in combat, equal to Thor and easily surpassing the likes of Captain America, Iron-Man, Hawkeye, Lady Sif, and Black Panther.
Master of Deceitful Tendencies: Although coming under his personality, this ability of Loki is considered a power as his powers of pure manipulation were able to cause a violent riff between the mighty Thor and Odin, even causing Thor to remain on Earth when Asgard was vulnerable jhbn to attacks and Odin was in the Odinsleep. Without using their powers, no one in the Nine Realms even comes close to matching Loki's manipulation, but using powers to manipulate, he is only second to King Surtur.
Former Powers[]
Odinforce: After Odin went into the Odinsleep, Loki absorbed the Odinforce, which granted him powerful abilities as one of the most powerful beings in all of existence, he hardly used any effort to break Captain America's shield, wound Iron-Man and Hulk, swat Wasp away and overall defeat them until Ant-Man destroyed the Tree of Life.
Equipment[]
Gungir: After absorbing the Odinforce from Odin, Loki also stole his staff Gungir to help harness his powers. Odin later took it back from him while banishing Loki to Yggdrasil.
Quotes[]
“
You are not my father! Look at you, King of fools, of arrogance, of weakness and betrayal. Asgard will fall and I will be there to laugh in its ruins. To see you and Thor in chains!
„
~ Loki before his banishment to the Isle of Silence.
“
You call me liar? It is Odin who lies! How long did he keep the truth from us, brother? It is Odin who slew my true father and stole me as a child only to treat me like a lesser being! But I am not a lesser being. Not anymore. The Odinforce is mine. And all the Nine Realms will bow down to me. Asgard, Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Nidavellir, I have conquered them all. Jotunheim and Niflheim are mine to command. Only Midgard remains, and there's no one left to save it.
„
~ Loki's motive rant to Thor.
“
Surrender. You really have no idea to whom you speak, do you mortal? I have watched you worms all this time, all of you scared and alone. On Midgard, you may play at being heroes, but here? You are less than nothing! Without Thor, who will save you now?
