Florida gothic. I've lived in Florida for many years and I must say that this is horribly accurate. I would only add a few: There's always buzzards flying high in the blue sky. Never just one, but several always circling something. You stop wondering what has died. Your cat stands guard at the glass patio door every night. Eyes trained on something in the darkness. You remove the cat and close the blinds. No one looks out of the window late at night.
