Clients don't gladly pay you more just because you want more money. They need a reason to pay you more. The fastest way to increase your prices without pushback is to increase the value you deliver. I'd like to start a serious conversation (brainstorming really) on all the ways you could possibly increase the value of your services. Off the top of your head, how many ways can you think of to increase value to clients? Just let 'er rip! Would love to know your ideas.

Scary! I would like to think that AI checkers are accurate, but if software like ChatGPT can make mistakes, why can't an AI checker? It's a large language model built on learning from other written content, after all. #contentmarketing #aiwriting #contentwriting

Yes, you work in financial services. Yes, your work is often complex and technical. But your marketing copy doesn't need to be. The premium clients you want to attract are busy people. They don’t want to dissect your website, newsletter, blog or brochure copy to figure out if you’re the solution to their problem. Your messaging needs to be clear, concise and to the point. I recently got a chance to write a software comparison article where the client software didn't really beat its competitors. The only two parameters it stood out at: Pricing and ease of use. Honestly, trying to portray this particular tool in a better light against its contenders was a challenge. Why? It missed out on: ● Some core functionalities most businesses would really want ● Unique features ● Offering something that I could possibly highlight as one pure reason for competitor users to make the switch Here's what I did as I wrote the article: ✅️ Focused on highlighting simplicity and ease of use as the two most coveted features ✅️ Talked about how pulling in data from 10 different sources and all too many features actually doesn't particularly always help. ✅️Highlighted how this particular software addressed this issue with a simple UI and focus on neatness and organization ✅️Narrowed down our ideal use cases for small-sized businesses in certain business segments ✅️ Made the entire article user-friendly and warm. This meant a really smooth transition from disseminating info to moving to covering our product Writing about software that don't really have a stand-out feature requires clever #writers to invent one. Right? Do you agree this is a common occurence for many #SaaSwriters? Finding how to give that little edge to your client.

If you want to drive more organic traffic to your website, this is what you need to be focussing on in 2024... Content clusters. Start organising your content around keyword topics and you'll optimise your website's structure and internal links (with the added bonus of setting you up for success when Google SGE comes in). Here's why you should be focussing on content clusters: 📈 You can rank for a much wider range of keywords ⬇️ It reduces the risk of keyword spamming (mentioning your keywords too many times) 🎯 You can drive way more traffic to your site because you’re focussing on a wider range of keywords ✅ You can get really niche with your longtail keywords, which is great for targeting people with high buying intent, but it also means you’ll be set up for success when Google SGE comes into play How can you get started creating content clusters for your website content? 1️⃣ Find a core topic (you can have more than one core topic on your website). Don’t make it too specific because you need to create lots of related content for it to become a cluster. 2️⃣ Keyword research - find the target keywords you want to rank for to help you refine your cluster and identify good traffic streams. Make sure you can rank for them. Don’t ignore the keyword difficulty when you’re planning. 3️⃣ You’ll need a pillar page that acts as your content cluster’s “hub” - here you can rank for unique keywords but also the keywords that you’ll be covering on your cluster pages. 4️⃣ Create your content with good structure in mind - your keywords need to be referenced in headers, and within the text, as well as your metadata, url slug, and page title 5️⃣ Consider the content you already have on your website, and how that could be restructured to create content clusters Need some help getting started? 👩🏼 In an ideal world, what would you like your website to rank for on Google? 👨🏽‍ Low prices. 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 If you were to type “low prices” into Google, what would you expect to see? Google thinks people typing this phrase are looking for online shops selling clearance food. Or sites advising on how to get the lowest prices on a range of consumer goods. So unless that’s what you’re offering, it’s not going to be the best keyword for you. 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 The keywords you want to rank for ideally need two things: relevance and context. They need to be relevant to what you’re offering and they need to have clear search intent. 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 The best exercise for answering the original question is to sit down in front of Google and type in what you would search for if you wanted to find a business like yours. Look at the results you get. Are they businesses similar to yours? If not, refine your search and try again. Public Service Announcement: Your ideal customer is NOT a demographic. Demographics (age, profession, family structure, income, education etc) are useful as a starting point when it comes to understanding your idea client, but they’re not everything. You need to think about your ideal clients in terms of what they: ✨Believe ✨Fear ✨Desire or hope for. Understand your clients at that level and you have a much better chance of really connecting with them. If you’re a brand photographer, for example, people may believe brand photography is too expensive (it isn’t) or they fear that they’ll look stupid in their headshots (they won’t). Or they may really hope that it’s a painless process (it is). So, speak directly to your client’s beliefs, fears and hopes for a much better way to frame your marketing. Did you know that there is real magic in a powerful Call to Action (CTA) button? Your CTA button is the gateway to opportunity... It's more than a clickable component; it's the 'thing' that converts visitors into customers. Here are some top tips to make your CTA button irresistible: 1️⃣ Choose One Primary CTA Button: Keep it simple! Whether it's 'Sign Up' or 'Reserve My Spot', make sure it's front and centre. 2️⃣ Use Eye-Catching Design: Use vibrant colours and different shapes. It should stand out like a beacon. 3️⃣ Compelling Wording: Keep it short, sweet, and action-oriented. Words like 'Get My Free Guide' or 'Join Now' works well. 4️⃣ Make it Stand Out: Use bold fonts and plenty of white space to make your button pop. 5️⃣ User Experience: Make sure your button is mobile-friendly and surrounded by social proof. 6️⃣ A/B Testing: Experiment with different designs and texts, and always track and change if needed. I touched briefly on the importance of content clusters last week and how implementing them now will set you up for success when Google’s SGE (Search Generative Experience) comes in. Getting your website SGE-ready is SO important because SGE is going to enhance the search experience for everyone, using AI to understand queries better and deliver more personalised answers as a result. As well as the user asking more detailed questions (hello longtail keyword searches!) they will be able to ask conversational-style follow-up questions, in a similar fashion to prompting and interacting with AI tools like Chat GPT. Clustering your content around keyword topics will ✅ Optimise your website structure ready for SGE ✅ Increase those internal links between relevant content ✅ Improve your website visibility especially when using longtail keywords ✅ Ultimately, drive targeted traffic and boost your conversion rates. Not using content clusters yet? Don't worry, your SEO rankings aren't going to plummet overnight. But making a start from today will have you heading in the right direction ready for when SGE goes live for the masses. Something I've noticed lately Some founders here are getting a decent amount of comments on their posts, but then... silence. They don't reply to any of them, or sometimes they just reply to the first 3, and that's it! I get it - we're all busy. But isn't the whole point of posting to start conversations? When someone takes time to comment on your post, a quick reply goes a long way. Plus, the LinkedIn algorithm loves it when you're active in your comments section I've found some of my best connections started from simply replying to someone's thoughtful comment. Sometimes those chats lead to calls, collabs, or even deals. Remember: Social media is about being SOCIAL. Don't just post and ghost! Your audience took the time to engage - return the favour. It's not just good manners, it's good business. If you're too busy, you could just hire a ghostwriter. It's not about spending money, it's about making a smart investment that will pay off in the long haul. P.S. Why do you think some people don't reply to comment on any of their posts?
