Yesterday our CEO Graham Prothero, CFO Stefan Allanson and Group HR Director Samantha Knight welcomed members of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to our Petersmiths Park development in Ollerton.   The team provided an overview of MJ Gleeson, its business model and mission of providing high-quality affordable housing, before discussing key ideas around reforming the planning system and addressing the sector’s skills shortages.   It was a great opportunity to engage with policy advisers to discuss our views on the sector and the prospects for potential reform.                                                                  Thanks to those who made the visit such a success!  

Mark Knight, Chief Executive of Gleeson Homes, recently shared his insights into the crucial role of first-time buyers in addressing the UK’s housing crisis in Housing Industry Leaders.

We are pleased to announce a resilient set of results for the year ended 30 June 2024, delivering results in line with expectations and good progress against our strategic growth objectives.   Gleeson Homes completed the sale of 1,772 new homes, delivering an operating profit of over £30m, which was above expectations, and received a five-star customer recommendation in each of our six regions. We are also delighted to have signed Gleeson Homes’ first partnership agreement during the year, followed by a second post-period end in August.   Gleeson Land completed four sales amid a challenging planning backdrop, and has continued to implement its growth strategy, deepening its regional presence and embedding data and analytics throughout its processes.
