CEO at Learning Curve Group, using business' objectives to craft successful, stress free training strategies.
We’re delighted to be exhibiting at the AoC 2024 Conference! It’s fantastic to see so many passionate voices rallying around the future of Further Education. The opening keynote by AoC’s CEO, David Hughes, kicked off the event with a reflection on the challenges the sector has faced, from funding cuts and Covid hurdles to political uncertainties. Skills Minister Jacqui Smith gave her first keynote to the conference and emphasised a shift from competition to collaboration and support for all learners, promising to address the challenges the sector faces. She also called for a “national conversation on skills” where everyone has their say. Looking forward to an exciting week focused on driving positive change! #AoC2024 Come visit us on our stand at the top of the escalator to chat all things skills and pick up some good merch 💜

Yesterday’s AELP Autumn Conference, sponsored by City & Guilds, provided an invaluable platform to connect with so many in the skills sector. The theme, Future Ready: Harnessing Change & Opportunity, could not have been more timely given recent budget announcements, the launch of Skills England, and funding and qualification reforms. Our Chief Customer Officer, Andy Moss, shared key insights from our latest #MakingSkillsWork report and highlighted the essential actions needed to unlock UK productivity and expand opportunities nationwide. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, and to Ben Rowland and the AELP team for organising such an impactful event, emphasising the critical role of skills in driving economic growth. Fantastic to hear from Jacqui Smith at the AELP Autumn Conference today 👏 With the evolving UK skills landscape, it was insightful to hear the governments plans to drive skills development and address longstanding issues for ITPs. And what a delight to listen to one of our very own learners, Emily, during the Policy Meets Practice panel discussion as she shed light on the apprentice experience from her perspective. It was brilliant to hear that Emily has had an incredibly positive learning journey with us and that her confidence has significantly increased over the course of her programme, emphasising the true value and impact of apprenticeships beyond the delivery of the qualification. Emily has previously joined us on a learner panel at our staff conference, and demonstrated her skills and provided insights during the Duke of Edinburgh's visit to LCG - we're so proud! 💜
