The EU Digital Services Act and you
We are committed to the DSA's principles of transparency and accountability to our users. This means that we uphold our obligation to maintain a safe, respectful, and trusted online environment.
What is the EU Digital Services Act?
The EU Digital Services Act ("DSA"), which took effect on 25 August 2023, established a uniform set of rules governing the transparency and accountability of online service providers across the twenty-seven Member States of the European Union. As a result, Yahoo EMEA Limited, our EU entity, has adapted and implemented processes and operations to comply with the DSA-specific requirements.
Yahoo Single Point of Contact under the DSA for EU authorities and user complaints
EU authorities
The DSA requires us to provide Member States of the European Union, European Commission, and the European Board for Digital Services with a single point of contact, which is dsa@yahooinc.com. Our preferred language of communication is English.
Users
If you are a user residing within the European Union, please use our DSA contact form to communicate with us for any matter relating to the DSA, including to raise a complaint as this is the most direct way for us to address any query you might have. Alternatively you may send an email to dsaquery[@]yahooinc.com with the following required information: your country of residence; the Yahoo or AOL service you are contacting us about; a brief explanation of your query, concern, or complaint. Our DSA team will review your query and take action as appropriate and in accordance with our legal obligations.
These points of contact cannot be used for any matter that is not related to the Digital Services Act.
DSA Transparency Report
As part of our compliance with the DSA, Yahoo EMEA Limited publishes a DSA Transparency Report that can be found on this page.
