Articles were linkign to either Autobot or Autobots willy-nilly. Autobot, singular, was favored 3:1. I have gone back and changed all links from Autobots to Autobot.
Reading as I went, in SOME cases, the term 'Autobots' could be better served by linkign to a sub-page (such as 'the Armada Autobots') when they refer to a discrete group. But- those links would have ot be re-done ANYWAY, should such a page come into existance. I feel comfortable in my decision, and feel the singular form is the sensible way to go.
Off to change the Decepticons mis-links. There the ratio favors singular more like 7:1. (Can admins do this esily? I dunno.) -Derik 05:23, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Good call. And, no, I don't believe Admins can do it any more easily than ye. --ItsWalky 05:50, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't know any of the details, but on Wikipedia, some users run bots that can do this sort of cleanup automatically. You might be able to figure out how to do that by poking around at that site. I may look into it at some point, but... also maybe not. If it's on your mind, though, go for it. --Steve-o 06:16, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Meh. It's not like you can't just put up a relay (Decepticons has one) but I think naming standards is better. Hopefully having IMPOSED a standard, future entries will adhere. -Derik 06:42, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- So, I wanna describe the grou dynamics of the Autobots in Masterforce... maybe list the team member. Where does that go? Masterforce? Here? When I say Metalhawk's Autobots should that then link HERE, or to the sub-section of the MF article that describes their group? Because- it's nto referign to the movement as while, it's referign to his command. -Derik 06:15, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm inclined to say the link could come to this article, or to a section in the Masterforce franchise (or possibly cartoon) article that describes the MF Bots, at the perogative of the person doing the linking (ie. Derik). I think that this article -- Autobot -- should probably not end up with a subsection for every fiction in which Autobots appeared and a little blurb about that particular group of Autobots. Such an article would be unweildy. I think the point of an article called just "Autobot" is to speak generally about Autobots. --Steve-o 02:29, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
UT Trilogy stuff[]
Um.... why is there this rambling plot summary of the UT stories, half of which doesn't even talk about the Autobots? Repowers 05:20, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Guess we should ask crazy anonymous dude. --ItsWalky 06:09, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Facts[]
The Autobots are known for their Automobile forms. They often turn into cars, trucks, and anything civilian. But some are Jet planes or military vehicles.
