  • Bug|Occasionally a world can be generated without rocket boots on floating islands. Making the only source Goblin Armies.
This is not a bug. Not all items are assured to spawn in a single world. --Cloakedboltz 18:16, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

According to this page, the Rocket Boots can be found in dungeon chests. Still, on the environments page, you cannot see this on the list of possible dungeon chest items. Can someone clear this up? 109.189.228.216 12:57, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

I'm 90% sure that goblins are the only way to get these. But I'll wait for people to play a couple more weeks before confirming that. --Theothersteve7 20:41, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure looking at the code they can't drop from either Dungeons or Floating Islands. If somebody can prove they drop there we can change it back. Olrad 14:40, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

I've been using the World Map Viewer to view dozens of worlds that I generate and not once have a I seen the rocket boots present in Dungeon, Underground Jungle, Floating Isle or Underground Chests. This is leading me to believe that the only way to obtain rocket boots is via a very rare goblin army where it may very rarely drop. The Terraria developers might have benefited from thinking more about having random spawn items. Trying to obtain Cobolt Armor and Rocket boots is ridiculously tedious. --User: James Kimberley 16:00 +8hr time, 2 June 2011

Yes, the only way to get them is from the goblin army. However, they seem to have a roughly 50% chance of dropping per army in my experience. I think the problem is more that there's no consistent way to get goblins to show up. --Theothersteve7 14:16, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

i think that the rocket boots should began to use mana again so you can make them fly longer

This isn't a place to discuss your opinion --71.55.138.194 18:05, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
  • I have found an inconsistency in this page: the "main" description of the Item say that it allows you to fly for 1.6 seconds, but in the tips section it says that Flight Time is 1.16 seconds. Which one is the correct one (assuming that 1.6 seconds isn't the maximum flight time obtainable trough short bursts)? Kirby737 (talk) 13:18, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
