Developer Spiders and publisher Nacon have revealed the GreedFall 2 Early Access roadmap, showing off what's coming to the RPG in the months before it launches in full.
When GreedFall 2 launches next week, you'll have access to "the beginning of the story and its main quest", according to Spiders. This includes character creation and three zones, each of which has secrets to discover and allies to meet.
After that, in fall, you'll get access to a new companion and their associated quests, as well as an extension for the main story. You'll also be able to explore a new region and access GreedFall 2's main hub, as well as exploring two new skill trees.
Another new companion is on the way in the winter update for GreedFall 2, and you'll get to experience their quests at that point too.
The winter update will also bring the game's crafting system with it, as well as new local quests to take on in two of the main regions. A new skill tree and associated abilities will also be introduced at this point.
After that, you can look forward to lots more GreedFall 2 content, including new companion and faction quests, a whole new region to explore, and more main story to experience. Suffice it to say that GreedFall 2 is just getting started.
Spiders also says that it plans to continuously update GreedFall 2 with balance tweaks and content "depending on your feedback", so the above might not even be everything that's heading to the game in the coming months. Exciting!
GreedFall 2 is, as you've probably guessed, the followup to the original GreedFall. First revealed in May 2022, the game will serve as a prequel to the original GreedFall and will cast you as a Teer Fradee native thrust into a "treacherous" political climate.
The game's developer, Spiders, was recently embroiled in a dispute with its management regarding working conditions and employee pay, but that dispute was resolved in the employees' favor earlier this month.
You'll be able to play GreedFall 2 when it launches in Early Access for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 24th. Stay tuned for more.
