A games library is exactly what it sounds like.
Shelves of games that you can borrow during the following opening hours.
• Friday: 12:00 – 22:00
• Saturday: 09:00 – 22:00
• Sunday: 09:00 – 17:00
We do ask for a £10 cash deposit from everyone who uses the library and we will require your mobile number just in case too.
Tabletop Scotland is delighted to be partnering with Edinburgh Board Game Library for this year’s convention. Their collection, along with some additions from other supporters, will be available for you to borrow throughout the convention. Their team will be onsite to help you choose which games to play.
Library System
We are using the G.A.M.E. System to manage the games library, as well as Bring & Buy and Game Finder systems again this year.
You will need to have an account registered with the G.A.M.E. System to be able to use the library, and once you have logged on with your new account you will need to add your mobile number. We use this only for the library system, and just in case you’re late bringing games back!
Go to Account, My Account, Change Phone Number to add your mobile number. Once submitted you’ll receive a security code via sms text message, enter that into the system and you’re ready to go.
Note: The text message will come from AireConGAME as the system was developed by our friends at the AireCon games convention!
Once we have our confirmed list of games we will get those published.
Edinburgh Board Game Library is a volunteer organisation in Edinburgh, setup by 6 board game lovers who want to increase access to, and enjoyment of, board games. They welcome donations of games both from the public and publishers alike.
If you’re looking for players to join you whilst playing the game, or indeed looking for someone to help you with the rules, pick up a Players Wanted or Teacher Wanted sign from the Games Library.
If you’re looking to schedule a game in advance and want some more players, check out the Game Finder.
