Your digital identity, your rules. Simple as that.
While every Privacy Policy claims that your privacy is important, with Gravatar, we can prove it. That’s why we created this Gravatar Privacy Pledge.
Here’s our no-nonsense promise to you:
Choice
You decide what’s public in your profile. Want to share your job title? Cool. Rather keep your location under wraps? That’s cool too. It’s your identity, after all.
We don’t care if you’re Batman or Bruce Wayne. Use your real name, a nickname, or go full superhero. We encourage pseudo-anonymity because sometimes, the internet doesn’t need to know everything.
Update, download, or request to delete your data anytime. No questions asked. No guilt trips.
Minimal Logging
Your Gravatar profile does not include IP addresses or a list of sites that request your Gravatar information. We keep our logs exceptionally lean to help ensure we can’t track more than we claim. Why keep any? To catch any shenanigans and make our service better.
Your web journey is your business, not ours.
Continued Leadership
We’re part of Automattic, the folks behind WordPress.com, Tumblr, Day One, and Pocket Casts. That’s 20+ years of earning trust on the web. We’re not the new kids on the block – we helped build the block.
More Information
At Gravatar, we’re not perfect, but we’re perfectly committed to your privacy.
