What a great game! The artwork/style is absolutely amazing and the theme is unique, yet nostalgic.
Since you guys are looking for feedback, here are a couple ideas I had when playing the game:
Actions that can affect more than one status - For example, shining the flashlight on the egg may increase it's temperature slightly. Or, spraying the egg with the water will reduce it slightly (While still increasing wetness). It would make it a bit more challenging on the harder eggs to find the balance between multiple different actions.
The egg screen - This is a really awesome concept. I think you guys already mentioned it, but a way to maybe interact with the animals on this screen would be pretty neat. Possibly allow naming of the hatched animals or similar?
Still on the topic of the egg screen, it might be better suited as the 'Eggimals' screen since they're no longer eggs. The 'egg' screen could be a kind of trophy screen displaying all the eggs hatched (Assuming there are slight differences)
Once again, really awesome game. I look forward to following its future development.
Thanks for your awesome ideas and feedback! I like the idea of tying together/connecting the various elements in a way that leads to more intuitive and thoughtful player decisions. We are already looking for ways to create a more challenging and interactive version of gameplay, so this sounds perfect!
As for the 'Eggimals' vs 'Eggs' scene, yeah we know :). It was too late to create a new texture for that button so we just went with the name that we had. We're thinking of renaming it something along the lines of "playground". And of course this entails adding new interactable elements for your cute little collection to play with! Nicknames and individual traits + personalities for each eggimal are also in the works :).
Really fun & chill game. Everything from the audio design to the little movement of the red line when you change radio stations felt like it had great attention to detail. Awesome work!
Thanks for noticing that :). I'm proud of what I learned about tweens to achieve the smooth radio tuner movement and the fading in/out of randomly shuffled audio streams. Also, syncing the streams so that they "keep playing" even when not selected was a fun challenge. Getting those details right was really important to me, and I certainly learned a lot because of it!
This was beyond adorable!! It was super fun to play as well! Your team should be very proud of y'all's work!! I loved it! Some additions I personally would think to be really cool would be to have some story connected to the zombie outbreak! XD I feel like if you were to progressively get more stories about how it's getting crazy out there while you're just taking care of your eggs would be really fun!
Also I just got to say I absolutely loved the music decisions made here! They were choice!!

The zombie thing was actually one of the few creative commons "broadcast" clips I could find for the radio, so it wasn't intended to be part of the story. But, that's definitely a fun idea! Maybe a nod to Plants v Zombies or something haha
Glad you enjoyed it! From the get-go we knew that the player's collection had to be viewable. In the future, might try to add saving progress as a feature.
