Description[]
- "A Hashogeki enhanced through spiritual focus. Hold the button to charge the attack and increase its power."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by performing two quarter-circle backward motions and pressing punch (or pressing back, plus Special Attack and Heavy Attack for Modern Control), Ryu focuses spirtual energy in his palms before discharging a Hadoken-like palm attack. Holding the punch button releases a more powerful blast that sends the opponent tumbling.
Tactics[]
By holding the punch button down, Ryu can power up this move to increase the damage output and send the opponent tumbling back toward the wall. This can create potential combo routes and resets to apply more pressure on the opponent. The move can also be further amplified if Ryu has his Denjin Charge stored.
Ryu can use either an OD High Blade Kick or an enhanced OD Hashogeki as a cancel to Shin Hashogeki, letting him fully charge the attack and send the opponent tumbling toward the corner. If close enough, Ryu can pick up afterward with a Drive Rush to continue the combo.
