The Messatsu Gou Rasen (滅殺豪螺旋, "Annihilating Great Spiral") is one of Akuma's super combos, introduced as his third Super Art in the Street Fighter III series. It returns as one of his Hyper Combos in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. In more recent iterations, the attack is featured in Ultra Street Fighter IV's OMEGA Mode and Street Fighter 6.
It can also be performed in midair; this variant is called Messatsu Gou Senpuu (滅殺豪旋風, "Annihilating Great Whirlwind"), making it similar to the Messatsu Gou Hadou/Tenma Gou Zankuu parallel.

Description[]
A more powerful version of the Tatsumaki Zankukyaku, the Messatsu Gou Rasen rises vertically, pulling a struck opponent into a "vacuum" in a way similar to Ken's Shinryuken. The user then finishes with a final swift spin kick to end the attack.
If performed in midair as the Messatsu Gou Senpuu, it inflicts much more damage, and the user floats a little during the attack before finally rising up like with the grounded variation.
In Marvel vs. Capcom 2, lightning effects occur during the attack, but the attack cannot be performed in midair as the Gou Senpuu.
