Mission: Patrol the Ponor System

<rank>, it appears that the Romulans took advantage of a break in our patrols to modify the satellites in this system.

Now all of the communications they collect are being transmitted to the Romulan listening posts along the Neutral Zone. This could give the Romulans a major advantage.

I estimate that it would take us longer to repair the satellites than to replace them. Furthermore destroying those satellites could be enough to short out the Romulan listening equipment on the other end.

Any Romulan ships we encounter will almost certainly try to stop us, but they are not our main concern.
