V FUN I LIEK KRUMPIN PUNY GITS

If you like isometric graphics these are great, especially the magic effects. All I've played in Fallout 1, so to see all manner of magic spells sparks and orbs flying everywhere was a treat.

Great mechanics, great world, great voice acting (if you like cheese). Servicable story. Great online play with friends. Magic system is great when SCS mod installed to create true sorcerer duels.

It's a lot of fun! But they keep breaking the game with updates.

This is where the steam binary rating doesn't work... This is nowhere near as good as the maingame, but still and excellent narrative.

Absolutely excellent, grateful to be able to spend more time in the universe of The Expanse. One thing that really did annoy me was on my play through, Drummer sneaks behind her enemy and when she tries to shoot them she realizes her gun is empty and squanders her surprise. I hate this. There is no way Drummer would forget to check ammo. There is no way guns in a universe as practical as the Expanse don't clearly indicate to their user that they are empty.

Seems poorly thought out to me. Spawned next to a fanatic purifier I could not beat militarily. Tried to become a vassal of an empire I was on good terms with. Didn't let me because -1000 due to cordial relations. Tried to become a vassal of an empire I was on bad terms with. Didn't let me because -1000 due to hostile relations. Completely stupid, being on good relations with an empire sets the groundwork for being a protectorate. Being on bad relations with an empire sets the groundwork for being a vassal. But not according to stellaris. No, only if you're a neutral stranger can you become a subject. Poorly thought out dumb DLC

Adds flavor, far too expensive though

I've had a blast with it, it's fun, it's 40k.

But there's a complete and absolute lack of story. Great setting but no story. There's a traitor aboard the voidship that serves as your hub. And your boss finds him (turns out the traitor isn't a main character, he's a faceless nobody), and kills him. And that's it. What the hell. Why pay Dan Abnett? Bizzarre. All the hard stuff has been done, and yet a compelling story to string the paltry number of missions together is absent. Disappointing, but the gameplay is solid.

10/10 music, 10/10 environments, 9/10 gameplay, but the overall package feels like early access. You screwed up.
