Katana (太刀 tachi?) is one of Cervantes' weapons in Soul Blade. It can damage opponents even when they are guarding.
It is unlocked by completing Episode 4 of Cervantes' Edge Master mode. Cervantes arrives at a shrine in ÅŒmi Province, Japan. The shrine was originally built to contain demons, however the demons could still possess people via a weapon that lay there, Katana. Rock, who had touched the weapon after arriving at the shrine for shelter, got possessed and began to attack any who passed by. Cervantes defeats the possessed man and Soul Edge sucks up all of the evil energy from Katana before taking it for himself.
