The Sheep is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a non-anthropomorphic breed of sheep-like animals that reside on the Lost Hex.
Appearance[]
These enemies are cartoon-styled sheep with thick, white wool and black skin. When angered, Sheep can turn their wool crimson red.
Overview[]
The Sheep appears as enemies in the Wii U version and PCversion of Sonic Lost World, where they are encountered in Windy HillZone 1, 2 and 4, and Sky Road Zone 1. Most of them are peaceful animals that do no harm the player and remain stationary separately or in groups. When the player jumps on them, Sonic will bounces off the Sheep (while receiving extra Rings), who lose their wool coat at the same time.
As opposed to the peaceful Sheep, aggressive ones exist as well. When these Sheep spot Sonic, their wool turns crimson red and they start chasing after him. Although these Sheep cannot inflict damage on Sonic, they will constantly push him around, making them a threat if a bottomless pit is nearby. If Sonic runs past these Sheep, their wool will be blown away.
Trivia[]
Unintentionally, as the player bounces off a peaceful Sheep and makes it lose its wool, performing a Spin Jump on it again will result in Sonic floating above the Sheep while in spinball form without any logical reason.
