- Not to be confused with Jordan.
Jordan,[3][1] also referred to as Jor-Dann,[2] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian echidna scientist, the husband of Kayla-La and the ancestor of Edmund and Dimitri. A celestial cartographer, he is well-known for discovering the White Comet that was on a collision course with Echidnaopolis.
Appearance[]
Jordan is an average-looking mobian echidna, possessing red fur, dreadlock-like quills, black eyes, and a pointy peach muzzle with a black nose at the end. For attire, he wears octagon-shaped glasses, white gloves, and a white labcoat.
History[]
Past[]
Roughly 600 years ago,[2] Jordann discovered the White Comet hurling towards Echidnaopolis on Mobius while charting the Alpha Quadrant with his wife, Kayla-La.[4] His wife then created the idea to use the Chaos Emeralds to lift Echidnaopolis into the sky and avoid destruction. The plan ultimately worked and Jordann would congratulate his wife for her plan after the newly-formed Floating Island escaped the impact.[4]
Reboot[]
When Chaos Knuckles went back in time to change history, one of the things he did was destroy the White Comet. This was witnessed by both Jordann and Kayla-La, who were left astonished. Chaos Knuckles undid this change however when Echidnaopolis was destroyed by a massive earthquake.[5]
Personality[]
Jordann is a dutiful scientist, having spent years charting the emptiness of space before making any noteworthy discovery. He is as well a loving and supporting husband, as he was proud of his wife for the part she played in securing the safety of future generations of echidnas.[4]
Powers and abilities[]
Jordann has a lot of knowledge in the field of astrology, having charted the majority of the entire Alpha Quadrant with the aid of Kayla-La.[4]
Relationships[]
Friends/allies[]
Trivia[]
- Although Jordann first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog #34, his name was not mentioned until Knuckles the Echidna #10. Originally spelled as "Jor-Dann", this was retconned to be "Jordann" in the family tree included in Sonic the Hedgehog #109 and has remained that way until the present day.
