E-101 Mark II is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was the remodeled version of E-101 Beta, created by Dr. Eggman.
History[]
After E-102 Gamma betrayed the Eggman Empire, Dr. Eggman decided to rebuild E-101 Beta into E-101 Mark II, a stronger and powerful version of its successor with numerous upgrades because of the promise it showed.[1] Afterwards, it was sent to guard one of the outposts of the Eggman Empire where it was later destroyed by Gamma, who was on his own mission to destroy any E-100 units he could find.[2]
Trivia[]
- While it is noticeable on the original model of E-101 Beta that the coloring and design was incorrect in the Sonic the Hedgehog comics, the coloring on E-101 Mark II was faithful to its video game counterpart, albeit it is colored red and black rather than white and black, and it has two eyes rather than one (it should also be noted that its eyes are red in this incarnation, but the video game incarnation of E-101 Mark II has a green eye).
