  • Description: I heard from Ferien's user page that the Simple Wiki could use some more attention, so i decided to help out here as well. The bot will have many tasks, but the first task is to convert archive.is/md -> archive.today. The rationale behind this can be found here. Future tasks will be put forth for approval as they are implemented. Sample edits can be found on en.wiki

I would be willing to approve this as a one time function using AWB but not sure I am comfortable giving a bot flag to someone with no editing history here and only just over two months on en.wiki. -Djsasso (talk) 14:04, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You're probably right. I should work on getting more experience here. AWB access would be fine so I can get the ropes, then later i can continue to make other contributions without it. Thanks. Rlink2 (talk) 15:14, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am unsure about this task. On the surface it makes sense. However, ChenzwBot removes its own requests when blocked and user request are often left there so that other editors can see comments on them so I am not sure we would necessarily want them auto-removed. -Djsasso (talk) 16:40, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps having them stricken out, and removing them after a set period of time? LemonSlushie 🍋 (talk) (edits) 16:45, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That, or moving them into a section after the "Current Alerts" section. However, I have a low confidence that this would work, as scripts may break if they only add to the bottom of the page, and users may be confused. Maybe moving them to a subpage, that users can click on in the header, like a temporary archive. LemonSlushie 🍋 (talk) (edits) 01:27, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have created an example of how this would look in my sandbox. LemonSlushie 🍋 (talk) (edits) 02:48, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Denied. Consensus in the community is not to have auto welcoming bots. -Djsasso (talk) 10:51, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Djsasso:What about #1?Duke Admiral(Talk, contribs, Twitter) 07:57, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I had to revert a large number of your edits due to errors which makes me a bit concerned to give you a bot flag for your bot (even your signature has errors and an inappropriate link to twitter). You are quite new to this wiki. I would want to see some history here first. -Djsasso (talk) 10:44, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Note that KolbertBot did this, but it hasn't been running for a while. --Belwine (talk) 10:52, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Approved for trial (100 edits). Please make sure there are some edits included from each of the 3 types of edits you intend to make. If it makes it easier you can do up to 50 of each type. -Djsasso (talk) 13:07, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kanashimi Hello, could you fix the edit summary here is in chinese. Can we have a English version. And I am concerned as it helped a LTA sign their posts, there are many such people here, could it be more sensitive to prevent abusive username being logged per en:WP:DENY. Thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 13:22, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I will localize the messages. For the LTA, are we having a LTA list to ignore them? However, since they do edit something, maybe we still need someone to fix the bad edits. --Kanashimi (talk) 13:58, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kanashimi Hello, thank you for your reply. I don't think we can have an ignore list as these are throw-away accounts, like they used once and thrown away. I will suggest not doing any fixing apart from removal of that entry from the bot log per DENY. Thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 14:14, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't an issue, we would clean it up as we would anything else if we had to clean up after a bad username. -Djsasso (talk) 15:41, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The only issue is that you have to manually revert the change as rollback won't work once the bot signs it. Not a major issue. --IWI (talk) 15:43, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Largely agree after hearing from the above that this isn't any issues. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 19:34, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Another edit summary here was in Chinese. Thanks, Belwine💬📜 18:21, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It seems an error after re-parse the config page. I am watching what is going wrong now. --Kanashimi (talk) 22:44, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed The test of adding signatures and maintaining {{Article issues}} are done. For fixing broken anchors, it seems there are almost no sample to go, I am still waiting... --Kanashimi (talk) 03:53, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator observation)   Comment: Incorrect signing of post here --Tsugaru Let's Talk! :) 🍁 03:25, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
An interesting bug. It seems it interpreted Antandrus' manual revert as him making that unsigned comment from a while ago. --IWI (talk) 05:04, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  Fixed Thank you for reporting. I will skip edits with tags of mw-rollback, mw-reverted, mw-undo, mw-manual-revert, mw-blank, mw-blank, mw-new-redirect. --Kanashimi (talk) 06:33, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Trial complete. All three tasks show its cases. The cases of fixing broken anchors are rare to find, but since it works properly on Color blindness, Capitalist Party and Oslo, these proof it will work on simple wiki. I will keep running to collect more examples. --Kanashimi (talk) 22:56, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Approved. @Kanashimi: Just make sure any edit summaries are in Simple English. Looks like you maybe have already fixed the issue noticed above. -Djsasso (talk) 20:42, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
