The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v4 "Outro" is a collaboration by the Chicago fashion and footwear designer on a colorway of the classic shoe from his “1998” collection.  Inspired by magazine campaigns, movies, and other forms of media from hip-hop culture of the late ‘90s, the “Intro” 990v4 by Joe Freshgoods is said to be influenced by the Hype Williams’ directed movie “Belly” from 1998, which featured Nas, DMX, and Method Man.  The upper has a white mesh base and black suede overlays.  A “1998” logo appears on the heel tab, while a “JFG” logo can be found on the lateral heel.  Additional Joe Freshgoods branding appears on the insole of the right shoe.  Classic New Balance 990v4 branding elements can be seen on the tongue.
